Living on Dominica

Is the crime rate on Dominica really high? I mean I'm a pretty big guy about 6'2 220 do I still need to carry some protection? Also, I hear Ross doesn't operate dorms and that students live in apartments close to campus. How far in advance will there still be housing available?

NO, Dominica is safer than most places in the United States. That doesn't mean that you should be careless, but you'll be fine.

Housing is available all the time. The later you arrive the further away and less attractive it will be, but that is to be expected. Get here 2 weeks early, go on the housing tour and choose something. No need to shop early before you get here -- its a fruitless effort in my opinion.
