I am starting my psych rotation at Mt. Sinai in Chicago Aug 1st. I am currently looking for a place i can stay for only 6 weeks. If any students have rotated or currently live there, anybody have any suggestions or people to contact??? MEAS is not interested in helping me out. I appreciate it.... peace

its a huge city i doubt meas would have a decnt list of anything close to the hospital. if possible stay away from the southside, any numbered streets, and west side. try and look towards the northside, its a drive but much safer...there are tons of apts by UIC, i would say get there a week early and go to the UIC campus or even the university of chicago and look at the postings there. other than that use roommate.com

Its for LT. We still havent found a place for her to live. We'll be up in chicago the 25th looking for places.....thanks for the reply rrod. peace

While in my hometown Shreveport, make sure you eat at Herby K's, Superior and Strawns. I could go on for days but stick to Superior Bar and Grill for some of the best Mezcan food known to man! And enjoy our high crime rate also...

Enjoying several ritas at Superior with brswartz and mr. haberlin. I am not sure Shreveport will be left in the same condition. Check please!

strwans rules! we would round at 6:30 am or so and our attending would take us to breakfast around 8am at strawns almost every morning...sausage gravy biscuits and grits qam was my rx.....

My wife has made me a grits convert...I guess it goes to show you that even cardboard can be palatable with enough butter and cheddar cheese...

i can't beleive jon is talking about grits, aren't you from the spam state? yes even styrofoam tastes good if you put enough salt and processed pork product on it......hehe

its our american way, who needs food to actually be good or taste good just cover it up with enough salt, butter, bbq sauce, and its all good eatin'!
