Does anyone wear or need to have face masks for anatomy lab? What about gloves how many boxes? Are the nitrile ones better? Do we need protective eyewear for lab? Thanx.

1. you can if you want, i personally loved how the formalin cleaned out my eyes

2. depends, by the end of the semester for review i didnt wear gloves.....yum

No one wears face shields or masks. For 99% of the time, you shouldn't be doing anything with enough force to get anything in your face anyways, and when using the saw, just be mindful of your surrounding Bruce Wayne, I mean Anakin, I mean.. shucks.

There are about 50 pairs of gloves to a box, you're going to need about two boxes for the semester.

As swimguy implied, there's a steady progression. For the first week or so after lab you scrub yourself hard and take a shower to try to get out the smell. Soon you don't care. Soon you'd eat in lab if you were allowed.

My nitriles were blue and matched my scrubs, so I was not ridiculed, only revered for my fashion sense and ability to accesorize.

They sell the clear latex ones (I wonder if anyone desperate enough has used them as condoms, you can use 'em 5x.. swimguy?), dunno about the purple ones.

but anyways, bring a couple boxes of gloves down with you.....sometimes i would go thru more than 2 pairs in lab

Buy them at note services, don't waste valuable luggage space on boxes of gloves.

2 pairs only if you're down in the pelvis. Doctors are just overpayed janitors really.
