Is it possible to do all of the clinical rotations in one hospital (like jamaica hospital)? Who decides which hospital you are going to ?

THANKS

jamaica has no IM...therefore you can't do all your cores there.

just a FYI

Is there some comprehensive printed guide to AUC clinicals available somewhere? Like what you can do at which locations, start dates, etc. I am curious and have never really gotten the full story about it...

well if a search was done you would have seen several of the post that i did on the subject.

boiled down, you dont need to know the start dates now, they will all change by the time you get to 5th. I know you don't want to hear that, but its true, i was the same way, screaming that noone would give me an answer.

Just wait till 4th to start worring about the specifics, if yo want to know what hospital we have as of now, check AUCMED.EDU. but remember that most of it will be differenct by the time to get to when it matters.

you really can't plan out your clinicals so early...yes it sucks not knowing but it all works out. that the same lame answer i usedc to get by the way but it really is true. jamaica is a new site so not a lot of long term data available. in 4th semeste ryou get a comprehensive clinical guide with start dates up to 7 months in advance and you fill out yoru top 3 choices. after you pass step one the day you send in your scores you get a list of what is available and when. dates start about 2-3 weeks. if you want one and only one site youu will get it but depending on how many also want it you will go into a first come first serve system.

i know you don't want to hear this but focus on basic scince and a kick **** step one then its all downhillf rom there as far as placements go
