You are shown a PRINCIPAL CELL in the nephron. There are arrows pointing to all sorts of transporters/hormones (abcde). In this area of "collecting tubules", Two substances govern blood pressure.
1) Which two are they?
2) Which one is located ON the membrane and which has its receptor inside the cell?
3) Where are the receptors?
Oh, KNOW that Aldosterone raises BP via Na+ reabsorption and ADH via WATER reabsorption.

a1) Aldosterone and ADHa2) ADH is WITHIN the membrane, Aldosterone is a fat soluble hormone so its receptor is INSIDE the cell.a3) ADH is on the BASOLATERAL SIDE on the cell and again,...aldosterone binds its receptor inside the cell.
