Hi Dr S'Land
Was wondering about the Terri Loan at MUA,Bz.
Without a cosigner is it $25000/- per 8 months [that is 2 semesters] or is it for 12 months[that is 3 semesters].
Thanks

The 25,000 is for two semesters only. With a cosigner, the maximum you will get is about 33,000 for two semesters.

Many students from MUA-Belize were escorted out from the AMC/GMCG clinical rotation sites last week due to non-payment while their loan money has been kept hostage from the dean of this med school for more than 3 months. Is this a legal or not? What can this dean possibly do with those students loan money?

Tatou-

Can you tell me more about the clincal studens being ousted from their rotations? I am a student of MUA-Belize, and I am supposed to begin clinicals this fall. This is very concerning, and this is not the first time that MAU-Belize has had problems with rotations in Atlanta for non-payment.

Well come to the party. This is not funny at all. Once you sign your disbursment check to MUA, it is theirs. If you are lucky enough, they might pay your first 12 weeks of clinical rotation after that you will be on your own. They won't pay for clinical rotation or send you the remaining of loan.
