I emailed the "contact us" link for info on St. Matts and received a reply asking if I wanted info on the MD program. I replied yes and I have also sent another email since. It has been about two weeks. Still I have no reply or info. I called and requested info (several months ago). Does anyone have any advice on how to get a catalog and application mailed to me? Also, I've heard that St. Matts is about to start using real cadavers (if so any idea when) and they have a new instructor from Harvard. True or False? Permanent or temporary? Thanks for the help.

Hey Boreguard,
I'm a 1st semester at St. Matt's taking anatomy (taking a study break now actually) and St. Matt's uses REAL cadavers now. They're plastinated, which means they've been preserved. They're NOT toys!! Just wanted to clear the air on that.
As for the info packet, just keep asking. Everyone in all departments is really busy. So, if you just keep reminding them, I'm sure it will get done. As for the instructor from Harvard, I don't know, but I know the 1st semester profs I have now are great! Hope this helps.

HI, I am also a first semester student and the professors are great, they'll teach you what you suppose to know and more.
Just go ahead and apply online, or download the application via PDF from the website. Don't wait any longer as the seats for the Fall semester are running out! Good luck and feel free to ask any further questions and or concerns.

You may feel free to contact me with your questions at any time.
It is very unusual for you to have not received a packet, unless you are in a part of the world that is not served by DHL standard rates. In those cases we usually request that you download the info (which is exactly the same as the info you would receive in the packet). Our shipping person documents every request.
SMU has used "real" cadavers since 1997. Plastinated cadavers are actual human specimens that have been treated at the University of Michigan's Plastination Laboratory. You may learn more here (they have recently expanded their viewing gallery):
