housing for married students

hi, my husband is a medical student and was thinking of transferring to SMU. I would be accompanying him as well as our new baby. i was wondering what our housing options would be. Thanks. Also, how safe is public transportation on the island?

I am a first semester student that is married and I don't think that kids are allowed at the residence hall (which is a good thing...you don't want to live there as a couple anyway). You can find a decent apartment or house, but it probably won't be too cheap. As for public transportation, it is safe, but not very reliable.
