Why is the female physiology professor listed on the AUA faculty website? I thought she worked for Ross? Her name is ***** or you can pm me for her full name if you are curious.

She is listed as a professor of Pharmocology on the AUA website. Is she part-time here and at AUA?

haha. she's probably not coming back.

ross always comes up with excuses to hide the facts.

she was supposed to be "sick".

AUA must be offering more cash.

shes an awesome proffesor and person.
she is teaching physio here right now and if AUA is lucky enough
to get her to teach something over there then they should consider themselves in good hands.

She is actually listed there with erroneous credentials. When she was at Ross she never had an M.D. behind her name. Unless AUA granted her a medical degree over the last semester break, then somebody made a mistake there.

acutally, she does have an MD, from John Hopkin's, many moons ago....

well, it's odd that her MD isn't listed here either.

I doubt a johns hopkins grad would wanna teach here.

For those who have been on the island between 2000-2001, you will notice many many many other former ROSS faculty on the AUA faculty list (incl. the executive dean).

Were they fed up with Ross politics or was AUA offering more $$?

Interesting....

she is a great pharm/ physio teacher. Its a big loss for ross. Man , when I was down there, the pharm dept was stellar. It was like an allstar team. pharm was definitely the best dept back in the day. Rumor had it that she was the first, or one of the first, women ever to graduate from Johns Hopkins med school.

If she had an MD, Ross would have advertised that. It was never on her handouts either, on PhD. She wouldn't leave that off herself.

I have heard the stories as well. She may or may not be teaching as a visiting professor at AUA. BUt what i know is that she is teaching full-time at Ross University at the moment. And she was actually ill at the end of last semester (Spring 05).

She broke her wrist last semester and was unable to teach. She is teaching this semester at both AUA and Ross. Also, she does not (or did not while I was in second semester, anyway) have her MD. We asked her why she didn't have it, and she said that she didn't need it. I know way too much about her business, I guess...

This little post just showed how the school is operating. Everything is top secret.

Not so long ago, a local administration worker had a car accident, that story was published on the weekly flyer. The weekly flyer also publishes incoming professors. However, the school never tells students the reasons of any professors that are leaving, sick, etc.

People have to rely on rumors to get information about professors. And for those who think that the school is so wonderful, I am sure that they will come up with more explanations as why the school does not reveal information such as that.

As you progress in your medical education program you will discover that it is now illegal to discuss health matters of individuals unless you are directly involved in their care....there is a Health Information Privacy Act, which you will become all too familiar with. It sounds like Ross is doing a good job of upholding the law and professionalism by protecting the privacy and confidentiality of their staff.

She does indeed have an MD from Johns Hopkins, which she received prior to doing her PhD.

Whether she puts it on her handouts or not is her business. Also whether she works ar Ross or AUA or both or neither is also her business.

Its a shame to see so many names that were Ross teachers on that list now at another school. Its obvious they banded together to leave the school for some reason, but whatever it is, i doubt anyone will know for sure.

To the students down there now, how is the new faculty? Just because the ones that left to AUE or whatever school that website is from, doesnt mean there aren't other good professors waiting to teach students at Ross (hopefully). I hope you guys have the pleasure of having micro with the lady who wrote the high yield book, and some of the path2 professors were great like the guy that owns a sauce compnay on the island and the other dude down there is great also. Good luck.
