I was just reading old posts about last year's hurricane on this forum and I was wondering how frequently is Grenada or other Carib Islands hit with such natural disasters whether they are mild or more severe?

Last hurricane of that strength to hit grenada was 50 years ago. It was quite a freak occurence.

Historicaly, hurricanes hit grenada about once every 50 years (your more likely to see a hurricane in Boston or even parts of Canada than in Grenada). There are also active volcanos and the possibility of tsunamis (from an underwater volcanic eruption) and earthquakes.
