i was also starting college this year, but go accepted onto a 1 year premed, followed by a place on an MBBS course in europe, what were your GCSE biology and chemistry grades? or predicted. (Science modular results too) and i can tell you if you are in .............. or out lol.

Yes, you will need Chemistry and Biology at A level, but you will need some pretty good grades, no point in going there to study medicine if you couldnt be competitive in a british medical school, I have gone to europe to save one year, with modular results of A*A*AAAA in biology and chemistry, i would feel like i could be competitive in england, but would rather save the year.
If you feel like you have no chance in england, i would have a re-think at what you want to do, because if you really arn't good enough at biochem and general biology, then the chances are that you will not do well whereever you go. Just my opinion.

Good luck, and definatly take Biology and Chemistry, possible one of physics or mathematics too.

good luck again.

Also, with regards to the A levels, do 4 at AS and 3 at A2, but as you want to go abroad, where there are lots of applications and much competition from all over the globe, you need to show that you can do well, so therefore i would take Bio,chem, physics and maths at AS, and chem, bio and physics at A2.
Because of the applications they will have, they want the best student, so i would imagine that if you can get BBBB as and BBB at A2, that you could be a prime candidate.
