So I've heard that SGU makes adjustments to the submitted cumulative GPAs of Canadians by adding a maximum of 0.2 grade points. I am from McMaster and our grade point scale is out of 12.0....which makes it so difficult to equate to 4.0 already(e.g. a gpa of 7.93 or something), I offered to have a gpa assessment company equate it, but admissions said that there was no need to. Anyway, apparently the adjustment is done to equivocate the american curriculum with that of the canadian one......is there any truth to this rumour?

I'm almost positive the school uses the AMCAS grade scale. It converts the grade the your school gave you into a GPA score out of 4.0. Even Canadian schools are listed on there, with different schools using a differnet scale. I'm not sure where to find it anymore, but try www.aamc.org
