I wonder how RossRedneck and Keithom are doing now. It has been awhile since we have heard from them on this forum. Busy with their residencies I suspect.

Hi guys,

Hi KeithOM- seems like yesterday we were sitting next to each other at graduation during the ceremony wishing Giuliani showed up.

I too am entering PGY-3- Life is great. Busting my butt on a daily basis, but love it.

I really love surgery and can't get enough of it, my only regret is that I wish I started Ross sooner so I wouldn't have to abide by the stupid 80hr guidelines.

I read this board often but havent really posted in quite awhile. I can see alot of the same ** is continuing on the rock- faculty leaving, scandals, rumors , etc..

none of it matters. keep your mouths shut, do your time, get your numbers, show up for rotations and get into residency. the school isnt shutting down anytime soon, and nobody will ever care if the guy sitting next to you bought a copy of the mini from the security guard as long as you get 99s on the USMLE like myself and Dr KeithOM. We went through all of the same "scandals" that you are going through now, and our elders went through before us. Focus on getting good numbers and good letters statesides. You will need more than good letters of recc from some obscure professor. Its best to have a nice letter from someone on the inside of the program you want to get into!

I am actually presenting a paper at a national conference this week, then next week I am heading on a well needed vacation cruise that will be stopping at Dominica tuesday. I look forward to visiting the campus and seeing what it looks like now and getting a Nelson chicken sandwich at the shacks. Its funny how I really miss the island.

Work hard my fellow Rossians, you can make it...

thanks for the update guys. I am about to make my foray into residency life soon, too. I hope I feel the same at the end of my PGY-2 year as you guys do. Cheers.

Exellent update and something I think future Ross students should remember.

Head down, eyes on the prize and continuous forward motion will get you through most everything in life.
