BTH,
Thanks for directing me to the right forum. It is really helpful to get a glimps of the sample questions they asked prospective SABA students.

How would it sound to the interviewers if I tell them that I would have to fund my education entirely with loans and that I'd pay it back as I make the money as a doc because I'd have no financial support from friends, family or relatives in the mean time? If they realize that I do not come from a wealthy family, are my chances of getting in lower? :(

MD Power, no, your chances will not be lower. I told them flat out I would be funding med school entirely from loans with no familial financial support. I just finished up my basic sciences on Saba and start clinical rotations July 1st, so obviously they accepted me.
Best of luck

yes, you must have step 1 completed before starting clinicals. as a matter of fact in NJ you can not start without the score in your hand first, other states will let you start the rotation but you score must be on arrival. can take up to 8 weeks for scores to come.

Saba policy is that you must take Step I before starting clinicals. You should receive your score during your first rotation. If you fail, you can finish that rotation but are not allowed to continue in clinicals until you have passed Step I.
Best of Luck!
