hey drj2b,
my suggestion would be to give them a call and see if they've receivd everything thats needed. I had applied on Dec 23rd and I received a response from them by Jan 9th...so the best bet it to call them...and see whats up...good luck!!

Don't worry - now that the Saba name is getting out there more and with the CA approval there are a lot more people applying to Saba. There's just a small group that does interviews - don't worry about when they scheduled you - most likely has nothing to do with what your chances are and more likely to do with your prospective starting semester and their schedules.

Best of luck - as for the interview be relaxed and be honest - don't tell them what you think they want to hear, tell them the truth. Honestly I had them cracking up at me during my interview and I got my acceptance letter within days.

Funny thing - I have a xanga website and so far two people who have been reading my site have decided to apply to Saba based on my posts. Very odd - wonder if I can get some recuitment credit from the school? ha!

The only person I actually remember from my interview was Dr. *********. There were another couple of women there as well but I don't exactly remember who - i just remember being shocked that Dr. F was interviewing me.

As for what was asked - they asked me about my mission trip to Romania, my personal statement, hobbies, if I thought I would be able to adjust to living so far away from my family, adjust to living without the conveniences, how I liked to study, how I planned on paying for school, what I knew about the school and the island, they asked about the SUSOM graduate who wrote a letter of rec for me... They did not ask me any "Miss America" questions like how do we obtain world peace or anything like that. It was very laid back and relaxed and I think took maybe 15 minutes total.

Funny story - about 5 minutes before they were supposed to call I'm pacing around and the phone rang. I answered it thinking it was them calling early and some woman breaks into this big telemarketer sales pitch. "Maam! I'm expecting a VERY IMPORTANT phone call!!!" "Okay, thank you, have a nice day!" CLICK! I about had a heart attack over that. Some other people wanted to call me around that time too to see if I had already had my interview but were warned away by my friend.
