I was wondering, does anyone know if ross allows students to do reseach while on the island? I know some professors have on-going research projects, can students assist?

YES, there actually is some very interesting going on and new research in collaboration with Clemson and other schools starting up. Except for the AIDS research, professors will allow you to participate. A couple students each year are selected to travel (free) to the US to present the research as well. You must be doing well in your classes to be allowed the extra duty.

beg to differ with your posting. i have actually spoken to more than a couple of professors and no one is doing research at the moment. dr. smolanoff is still waiting for his grant to go through, dr. larsen still waits on the rest of his lab supplies to start, and dr. meisenberg doesn't have any projects right now.

so no, there are no research opportunities here at all.

Did you go to research day? Dr. Boaz is currently doing research and I think some of the profs in the behavioral science dept are doing research as well. But thanks for asking all the first semester professors.

I know that Dr. Bolaski has a project going at the moment. I also know that he lost his assistant so he probably would be willing to talk to anyone that was willing to help him.
