I went with my mom to visit her neurologist, and my mother proudly announced that I was in medical school to the doctor. So the doc is injecting a nerve blocker to the base of her skull and he asks me, "Do you know what the supraorbital is?" And I open my mouth to answer then I stop for a moment because I was going to talk about the suboccipital region which is where he was working at at that moment, then realized that he asked
supraorbital.
Then I FURTHER pause as I tried to recollect all the offshoots and neighbors and I guess he thought I didn't know and asked a more basic question, "Do you know where it is?" And I pointed to my eyebrow feeling like a fool and he says, "Good." Attempting to redeem myself I say, "It's part of the frontal nerve and V1." and I weakly try to make it up by saying, "I guess it's been a while since anatomy" and then he goes on to lecture how it's important to remember everything.
Then my mom lectures me in the car how I'm probably not studying, etc, and that's why I didn't answer his question, blah blah blah blah.
Wow, was that embarrasing. Hope Loukas isn't reading this..

Yeah but not as funny as when an Ex-AUC Anat prof was examing a female cadaver and said," That's the funniest looking *ENIS I ever saw!" "Ah Dr. ...., that's b/c it's female!" "YA, YA, YA" Dan

No, it really isn't that important. To me the supraorbital it the area ABOVE the satellite. Of course, It depends on what you are going to do when you grow up. G

yeah my mom did make lots of kimchi for us.
she also did a lot of comparing too.
"Look at so and so, Mr. Kim's son or Mr. Lee daughter or Mrs. Park's cousin's neighbor's roommate's accountant's in-law... why can't you study like them?"
it seems like yesterday i heard her saying that. now i get to use that to my boys!!!

Oh, you think you had it bad?
During High School:
For some reason I'm the only kid in my mom's group that didn't do one or more of the following:
1) Take over 10 APs
2) Get a 1600
3) Attend an Ivy League
4) Do a missions trip somewhere while doing all of the above
5) Date Miss Teen Korea sometime in my past
6) Attend an Ivy League after undergrad
.. I suck.

ever heard of a rectal cranialectomy? :)
it's indicated for fecocephaly
Once upon a time as an MS3 ( on surgical rounds with about 8 people watching ) I asked a woman with 1 breast what surgery she'd had ( as I so astutely noticed the large scar on her chest )
BRILLIANT!
