Can anyone tell me what the laundry situation is like in the dorms? Are they coin/dollar machines and if so what kind of money do they take?
Thanks!

The school has cards that you can add credits to. You can put more money on the wash cards at the cafeteria. hope this helps.

When I was there it was $4 for a wash and $2 to dry. The machines are nice, full size, American machines (unlike the tiny Italian ones seen elsewhere on the island). Or you can go to Domie Laundry right next to school, where Bernadette will wash your clothes for you and fold them about $1 a pound.

She may be a nice lady, but I stopped taking my clothes there early in 1st sem. I overlooked some of my shirts disappearing but when some other dude's tightie-whities ended up in my bag, I had to call it quits.

We mostly did our own after that, or when tests were coming up or whatever (all through last sem, in other words) we took ours to the South African lady near the end of the airport runway. She will also pick up at school and drop off. I think it was $7 a load, and she did a great job and almost always had them done for us the next day. A hard worker. She was also very, very friendly. Of course, she wasn't native to Sint Maarten....

Turn in near the end of the runway at the sign that says Bobby's Marina, she has a little house there next to the boatyard. Make sure to tell her you're a student! Otherwise, the price isn't as good. ;)

Laundry can't take that long...at most 2 hours and thats pushing it, why not do your own laundry and while waiting get some reviewing done in the time you wait to switch the clothes intothe dryer?

We can't all be that lazy eh? I used to do my laundry at 1am at night lols, it was the best time i had the whole place to myself and got everything done by 3 am sunday.

that's what I did... I never really sleep until 4 am so I'd do my laundry when I get home from around 12 midnight till whenever.
