Bring:

- A flashlight with extra batteries
- Lots of Vitamins and OTC "Remedies" if you take them (they are expensive on the island)
- A Brita pitcher and extra filters
- A Laptop (and a cheap printer with an extra ink cartridge if you can afford it)
- Sunscreen
- A cheap, light rain poncho
- A comfortable pair of walking/running shoes
- At least one sweatshirt or sweater
- Lots of shorts and t-shirts
- Three sets of scrubs for anatomy lab (and about 50 or so scalpel blades)
- A little extra cash (for unforseen emergencies)
- Music (the local radio stations are "eclectic" so bring some CD's)
- An open mind and an adventurous attitude

All I can think of at the moment.

Best of Luck!

You don't need Brita. Trust me!! Just buy a case of water from My Store every wed. and you also get 10% discount.

You don't need blades for the anatomy lab! We left so many stuff behind for you guys.

You need a flashlight walking back from the library at night or you're going to get hit by a car or trip on the stairs.

Bring anti-fungal cream for your feet. Even if you're pretty clean, there is a really good chance you're going to get atheletes foot. Saba is a fungal paradise.

Good thinking...i never thought of bringing anti-fungal cream....it makes sense to bring one since its very humid at the rock.....i will keep that in mind....

I almost forgot one important consideration for May students. If you come into town (i.e. Saba) around the Queen's birthday (not sure the exact date, check with the school) make sure you have the basic necessities with you (including something to eat) because everything is closed. Just one of the new holidays you can mark on your calendar.

Alumni have told me it's a good idea to bring some snacks with you in your carry-on that can tide you over a day or two, just in case no matter when you plan to arrive, as your flights might get delayed and you arrive after business hours or during a holiday. Better safe than sorry!
bring condoms too

2-minute walk from school. The owner tends to give you different prices on the same items each time. Be prepared!
