I'm trying to choose the right backpack for school and I was just wondering how many books can I expect to carry around during the day at one time?

Depends on how you like to study. Most of first semester I carried my Benchmarks, Netters, and notes for biochem and anatomy, that was it.

Others carried biochem books, BRS's, and more Anatomy books. It'll be up to you, but you really don't need more than the netters, notes, and benchmarks.

Yeah, you don't need to carry around books. I don't think my backpack has ever been over 20 pounds. You'll get plenty of notes, though. Also, you will want to be able to carry around your laptop...and it is a real pain in the S5 to have to use a seperate bag. Bear that in mind when you make a purchase!!!
