Hello everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone on the forum is currently or will shortly be doing rotations at St. Agnes. I've been spending a lot of time recently researching schools in the carribean and I've decided that AUC will be #1 on my list when I apply this summer. I'm currently at University of MD Balto. County finishing up pre-med requirements (just took the MCAT yesterday actually) and I work in the ER at St. Agnes. I've seen a few docs and med students from Ross, but nobody from AUC yet. I'd love to get the chance to talk to a current student if anyone would be willing!
Just to tell you all a little about me since I haven't posted much....i'm planning to go to med school with 90 credits (gonna give it my best shot anyway). I'll of course try US schools, but given the 90 credit thing and the fact that my GPA is around 3.0ish...it very well may not happen. As I said...I just took the MCAT, but i'm expecting somewhere around a 30 if the Kaplan course was any indication. I've been an EMT for 7 yrs...paramedic for about 3 of the 7, work currently as an ER phlebotomist, have worked as a ER tech in the past, and was a Baltimore City Paramedic for awhile...so i've got tons of clinical experience. Can't wait to get out of college and into med school!
Well I won't take up any more of your time...but please let me know if you're at St. Agnes and would be willing to talk. Good luck to everyone currently there and I hope to see you in 2006!

Sounds like we've got a similar story. I too applied with my 90 hours (didn't apply to US schools), worked as a medic for 7 years, etc.

You should get some hits, I know we have some students at Blatimore who check these boards, but not every day. So be patient, and good luck!

BTW, it's 1 r, 2 b's. ;)

There are lots of AUC students at St. Agnes. Probably just none doing ER rotations. Just stop med students you see down there, and ask them where they went to school. It is a good bet that they go to either Ross or AUC. Heck, I might even be down there this week, (since I'm doing hospital rounds at St. Agnes, although I do try hard to avoid it. G
