hi!
although this is my first post, i've been reading thru these forums every few days (am iterviewing for sgu and ross), sgu as my preferred choice.
heres my deal:
science gpa:3.2
mcat: 28 - ps: 11, vr8, bs9
i am currently waitlisted at a few us schools but the deans there dont think it looks good. i wanted to pull my mcat up by a few points (so i could maybe get into a us school or transfer into one from the carribean later), howvere my practice tests are coming up in the 26-27 mak.

i am worried that if i retake the mcat (its in 2days!) and get below my previous 28, its gonna make me look like an idiot when it comes time to apply for a transfer.... am really confused and would really appreciate any insight you guys can give me.

your ability to transfer is going to lie in your accomplishments in med school and your usmle step 1 and not so much on your mcat score. But you still might be better off getting a higher score so you might actually get into a US school if you have apps out. Although 3.2 is on the low side, you would prolly need a really high mcat to offset your gpa if thats even possible. I did have a friend who got in to chicago med with a 3.4 and a 27.

good luck,
