While the information you provided is very valuable and informative... it's somehow very depressing... Regardless, thank you for putting together the above. Certainly makes it a little easier for those of us paving the path.
If I graduate from Saba, with clerkships done in teaching hospitals of both US and Canada- and by sheer luck and hard work, matched for residency in Canada- (assuming at this point I have written and passed USMLE I, II, CSA, MCC EE, TOEFL):
-Would the Canadian Specialty Board Certification qualify me to practice with a full license in Canada even as an IMG? I have read your post with links to issues and difficulties facing FMDs.
-How transferable is the Canadian residency if I were to go back to States for permanent practice?
-Is TOEFL required even though I'm a Canadian citizen with English as the first language?
-How does Visa process work during clerkship in States as a Canadian?
