I was just wondering if there are any Bands/Orchestras/Theaters on the island for those of us who can play instruments. If there are, would the average AUC student have time to participate in them??
Thanks!

but seriously... i think you might be on a tight time schedule to squeeze in a session or two, but i guess its all about your time management

There were a couple of guys in my class that formed a band and played pretty often at local clubs and they played for our 5th semester party. find some friends, make some noise.

There has been a band or two that students have formed while they were here. The church also has some students who play piano/guitar/etc. I don't know much about that though.

THanks for the advice, but I plan on applying for fall 2006 so I don't think I can be in your band!

I am a piano/sax guy there in fall '05. I am struggling with the whole - bring my keyboard or try to find something there - thing. Same for surfing, cooking, reading, and other stress relief!

You should PM adriayn, she just posted in the elated and tired thread. She bought a keyboard in SXM and might be able to tell you more about cost, quality, etc.
