HELLO SABITES:

SO I'M ON THE 4 MONTH COUNTDOWN NOW, AND STARTING MY REVIEW OF THE MEDICAL CURRICULUM.

I'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE NEARING THE END OF THEIR TIME AT SABA, AND WHO HAVE BEEN COMPARATIVELY SUCCESSFUL, WHICH STUDY GUIDES ARE USEFUL AND/OR ESSENTIAL FOR CLASSROOM SUCCESS AS WELL AS USMLE PREPARATION?

ALSO, ARE THERE ANY REQUIRED OR SUGGESTED TEXTBOOKS THAT YOU DIDN'T REALLY USE?

I'M NOT SO MUCH WORRIED ABOUT SAVING MONEY, BUT I AM MOTIVATED TO USE MY TIME AS EFFICIENTLY AND ECONOMICALLY AS POSSIBLE. I'VE OFTEN THOUGH MY LAW SCHOOL EDUCATION COULD HAVE BEEN COMPRESSED DOWN TO 6 INTENSIVE WEEKS IF I'D USED THE BAR REVIEW MATERIALS TO STUDY FROM, RATHER THAN THE LABORIOUS TEXT BOOKS. I'D LIKE TO APPROACH MEDICAL SCHOOL WITH A PRECISE AND CONCISE APPROACH TO READING.

ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

THANKS,
BIGGUY

I think that this has been covered before, so you might search for the answer if you haven't already.
But anyhow, I recall that people recommend the BRS series for each course, First Aid for the Step 1, and don't buy the informatics book.
Some find it more efficient to get the smaller Essential Clinical Anatomy book by Moore instead of the larger Clinically Oriented Anatomy by Moore.
That's what my alumni friends have told me.
I'm sure others have some stuff to add, like maybe camkiss or researchingguy?

Thanks Wolf,
Yeah, I know there are repeated posts about study guides, but they're usually just general references to series, like BRS, or they reference only one or two subjects.

I was just hoping that some wizened old 5th semester sage could cut through the chaff of study guides and give the master primo ultra uber list of what was worth owning relative to the Saba curriculum.

Are you out there oh Obi-Wan of the study guides?
