MUA or St. Matthews, which is better? I have been accepted to both and can't decide which school to attend. If you guys can me give positive and negative of both schools, it would help me alot.
Thanks

SMU is obviously the better choice. Better aminities, better profs., More organized, More Established, don't have to fly a crop-duster to Grand Cayman like you do in Belize just to get to San Pedro. SMU also has NY approval. The best thing going for MUA Belize is the fact that Dr. ****** is there. I honestly feel that her talent and her value to any institution would be better appreciated at a better school.

MUA has a lot of advantages. One of which is the low student to faculty ratio and the personal individualized service and care of the students.
Belize is a wonderful country. The island of Ambergris Caye in my opionion is more beautiful that Grand Cayman and the cost of living is A LOT less. For more specifics, please PM me and I'll go into more detail.

Hello, I am currently a student at MUA. I couldnt say if the curriculum is better at St. Matthew since I have never been there, however looking at the website St. Matthews looks better asthetically. Our school is still is still in construction. Actually, the middle part of the school is in construction. We have our classrooms, library set up. Anywho, but one thing I can tell you for sure is the San Pedro life is probably more fun than the Camyan Islands. Since we are known to have the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, this is the place for "snorkeling, scuba diving, para-sailing, jet skiing, etc" Great things to do to unwind from massive amounts of studying. The night life here is fun, dancing and restaurants etc. Hope that helped a little. To me, the teachers here are great, extremely smart. We have the only neurosurgeon in Belize teaching "neuro" and Path 1. I could go on and on. Hope that helped a little.

Lady, what kind of crack are you smoking and who is your distributer!!!! The cayman Islands are much more modernized and Americanized than any part of belize. Belize is more like the "toilet of Central America". Furthermore, cayman is better than Belize even after being struck by hurricane Ivan.---acetre
P.S. Small faculty to student ratio is codeword for "we couldn't get more students if we tried."

does any1 know much about the mua campus at Nevis? I've seen descriptions of both MUA and St. Matthews on a website by the American Association of International Medical Graduates (AAIMG): www.aaimg.com. It makes MUA look much better than St. Matthews, listing some serious deficiencies with St. Matthews. It seems kind of old though...anyone know where current criticisms on caribbean schools can be found?

In my personal opinion, Ambergris Caye is more beautiful than Grand Cayman. It is not as 'modern' or 'Americanized' but it is a very beautiful island. There are pros and cons to anywhere you live. I have not lived in Grand Cayman but over the past couple of years have visited the island on numerous occasions.
Ambergris is much slower paced, a much more simple lifestyle. Is it for everyone? No. However, it is a very good place to study with enough to do so that you do not get bored but not too much to do so that you get distracted.
