IEFC Loan.

I was wondering if anyone had ever taken out a loan from IEFC (International Education Finance Corporation)? If so, did anyone have a tough time getting that loan? Thanks.

IEFC is a pain in the *** when it comes to giving loans to Canadian Students....but if you have a good credit score you won't have a problem but better to use a co-signer.....

Teri (IEFC to us) requires a credit score of 650 by you, and of your cosigner if you are using one, and less than 70% utilization on each of your credit cards. You can't have any collections, bankruptcies or late payments on your credit report. Last I checked they used the Transunion credit bureau to check applicants credit. If you need to clean up your credit go to www.creditboards.com for help, it's a pain but doable.
