Hey,
Just wondering if there are any Nigerians in this forum that are currently attending SGU, if so please let me know if living in Grenada is anything like back home, I ask because there was a picture of a lady roasting corn for sale in the residential life booklet they sent with my aceptance package. I miss roast corn, I make it sometimes but its just not thesame unless wrapped in newspaper like those ladies do back home. also if you can let me know about some of the cultural similarities, or differences you think I should keep in mind.

Also will I be able to find markets that sell the foods we eat like rice, I have to have my jollof rice every week, or even collard greens or spinach for real good vegetable soup... as you can see food is very important to me. :yeah:

Well let me tell you as a fellow Nigerian that it will be very different from you. Roast corn is available, its fine, but not quite like home. Rice is also a main food here, so you will have no problem with that, soups are way more difficult, spinach is available at the supermarket, not always though. You would have to bring palm oil, egusi, ogbono or what have you. We all improvise over here, and there really isnt enough time to cook anyways. I mostly eat rice, fish is really cheap, so I make a lot of fish stew, and fried fish. As first term med, there is barely enough time in the day, so aint really a lot of time to cook. PM me if you have any more specific questions.
