To my knowledge, you will not be able to buy the ink refills on the island.. Also, I am not sure if you can purchase printer paper anywhere. However, there is a sign posted that indicates there will be a new store opeing in Windwardside.. According to the information posted, they claim that they will be selling "office supplies" and computer essentials!! With that being said, it is very possible to buy these items in St. Maarten. However, you can expect that the cost will be slightly higher.
Good luck, see you in a few weeks!!

I believe you can still buy paper at HES in Windwardside. Probably costs about twice what you might find in Office Depot or such. Thay also have a very few printer cartridges. Might also look for school supplies at the Peanut Gallery in Windwardside. The place to get it all is in SXM. I forget the name of the office supply store there in Phillipsburg, but they have just about everything at reasonable (Caribbean)prices.

Best of Luck!

Just to add my 0.02 cents worth, I just bought some printer paper the other week up at the G&C. They do have a limited supply, and I'm not sure they have it all the time, but lucky for me they did. I only shipped two 500 sheet packages.
I'm almost sure you could look around at a few other stores and find it (probably on Windwardside, but it's around  ).

Can you buy an actual printer (any kind) on St. Martin? If yes, how much more expensive?

Thanks

Yep.....CostUless sells them....i bought a canon for about 60 bucks i think. Its probably the same as the $30 ones in the states, but whatever, saved me a hassle in bringing one. They have printers that start around 60 maybe less and up from there.

You can buy almost any kind of electronics on SXM. Go down to Front Street in Phillipsburg and buy a new laptop. Of course you buy them at big "Duty Free" stores that cater to cruise passengers, so you have to haggle over price and you're never quite sure if you got a good deal. They will assure you that you did, but they also have the Duty Free sign in the window, when the truth is that there is no such thing as sales tax in SXM (or Saba either) and everything is Duty Free.

Best of Luck!

The tax on hotel rooms is one of the ways they pay for government (and the slaries of the room attendants) plus the $1.00 per night you pay to maintain the beaches.
