Is it true that Kings County will give you necessary immunization (like Hep B) and MMR titers if you rotate at that hospital? Also when is it given and what kind of documentation do they need? Also, are their immunization requirements same as the one at other NY hospitals? I mean can I use their documentation when I rotate at other NY hospitals after Kings County?
I do not have health insurance so it will be kinda nice if I can have everything at Kings. Pls post your experiences. Thanks a lot!

Just checked with the student insurance Ross gets us to buy through the MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company. I found that ins. will cover up to $100 of annual check ups. I guess our co-pay is whatever goes over $100.
The website is http://www.studentresources.com/ Go to the college student button, click on the claim information under "helpful resources"-->you can download a claim form from there.
I asked about them covering immunizations->they don't cover preventative health care.
Also asked about covering the lab tests-->said it comes out of that $100 pot for routine annual health care.

You should get a history and physical exam done before beginning any rotation although most hospitals will give you one if you don't already have one. Kings County and any other hospital we rotate thru will provide immunization, titer, xrays, labs free of charge if you need them. Kings County is very strict on health code so they will give you a history and physical exam prior to any rotation.
