Salutations:

I was wondering, since Ross has decided to eliminate the MPS and use a standard scale for grades, does that mean there will no longer be any curves in any course? I mean, suppose the class does poorly on an exam. Will the professors curve it? Thanks.

From what I have heard they are doing away with the mps but they are changing the grading scale. so an 84-100 might be an A. Not sure on exact numbers tho. You can be assured that they will have to lower the scale or not very many people would pass. Last semester there was a 13 or 14 point curve for one of our classes.

The new grading scale is dumb in my opinion. What is going on is, there will no longer be a curve up. They will still have an MPS but what is going to happen is, that a C will be MPS to 69, a B will be 70 to 79, and an A will be 80-100. There will not be any C+ or B+ grades either.

Its basically more or less what Michael said. IMO they are doing it so they dont have to give out more A's
