Obviously it depends on where you are traveling from, whether you want an open ended ticket with free changes etc. etc. I spent $750 for opened ended ticket for my son and he swithed to ealier flights out of Dominica when they were added. Unfortunately the flights out of Dominica were rarely on time and if you have to make a connection out of Puerto Rico you mave wind up staying at a hotel and arriving home the following day unless you are going to JFK which has a flicght that gets in at after 1am.
If you do a search on valued md Ross site you will find all kinds of info on air travel. I used Austin Travel for all four round trip tickets for my son.

Look to spend around $700-800 for an open ended roundtrip ticket.
You can go directly through American Airlines and ask to speak with MEMBER SERVICES and tell them you're from Ross.
Tom Backer at Austin Travel charges you $50 for somthing you can do free through AA.

the good thing is that prices havnt changed muh since i was there it seems. also try calling at random times during the middle of teh semester. on 2 occasions i was able to get tix from dominica to CA for $330 due to some special fares, and one occasion for $535. these were for travelling midway after the semster started though. otherwise they were usually always at least $700.
