I am a prospective student and would be living off campus due to pets. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of off campus housing and if people can tell me what rents are? Thanks.

My apartment 2nd term:

Paid $368/mo + electric (around another $80/mo, depending on A/C usage)

That was the cheapest I could find. Rents went up to $750/US/mo. Don't know if they went up post-hurricane.

Hey emt036,

Where is this place of yours? Like is it near campus? How far? Did the furniture come with the place? sorry for all the questions, but I am a prospective student looking for some answers. Thanx

It's about 10 minutes from the school (by car) on the road to Grand Anse. Yup, furniture included. Most if not all places that rent to students come furnished.

Forget finding places and deals that good anymore. So many places sustained damage that rents are up and GOOD LUCK finding a decent place that will accept pets too.

You need to a find a Vet student to give you some advice. Being a med student with a pet is pretty rare. Most left them with their families and friends back in the US. I left both of my dogs with my parents. :( But they are happy and taken care of a parasite free environment and no worries of quarantines or long flights in and out of the country in a cargo hold.

What's the average price on a place now? If you don't have any pets to worry about.
