is marijuana legal in grenada?
no
not legal anywhere except amsterdam and canada
i wouldnt plan on smoking dope in grenada if i were you
if you do plan to i would suggest you get some help
not a good combo with med school.
you get caught with it in grenada, getting kicked out of school will be the least of your problems.
zero tolerance

Nope, not legal. Marijuana possesion in Grenada is the number one drug related offense on the island. I wonder if that has to do with all the students there?? Oh well, if you're going there to be a doctor it should be the least of your concerns. Good luck.

Every time I see a post asking about how to get weed, whether it's legal in the caribbean, etc. I can't help but think of all those docs who lose their licenses because of drug abuse.

Ever been in prison in a 3rd world country? It makes US prisons seem like a stay at the Ritz Carlton. Lets just say dropping the soap will be the worst of your problems. (not from personal experience)

there is one good thing if you get caught. well 2 good things. 1 you will probably never smoke dope again. 2 the prison has a sunroof thanks to hurricane ivan.

Hahahaha, just because you are in the caribbean does not mean that weed is legal. I smell alot of weed on campus, so I know that students are smokin it, which is hilarious. But let me tell you. If the police decide to make a random search of campus and ANYBODY is caught with it, good luck. :headchop:

We took a boat trip around vinnies after our finals and the guy who was our guide showed us a side of vinnies that was covered with weed fields! It was a huge area... (especially since its illegal!)

Being high is a way of life in the carribean, at least from what I've seen. When you're interviewing patients here, it's standard to ask them if they smoke marijuana because it's likely that they do or have done it. I'm not sure how that fits into any differential diagnosis though.

You always ask drug use no matter where you are or who you're interviewing; the 80 year old with the mi as well since a coke induced MI will be treated differently and you can kill them with standard mi care if you aren't sure. But you the visiting student, if youre caught with the goods, your tooshie on the line.

is marijuana legal in grenada?
Disclaimer: The following post is for informational purposes only.
Dont listen to these crybabies.. buying weed in the islands is easier then buying a bottle of water and almost as cheap. In grenada just walk up the beach and ask anyone with dreads. They will be more than happy to hook you up. For that matter, any cab driver, street merchant, barber, and most of the school bus drivers will be happy to hook you up. St Vincent is one of the largest producers of mary in the carribean and a major portal for colombian coke dealers. The prime minister of vinnies was formerly pablo escobars lead attorney. As a matter of fact, most of the smoke in grenada comes from vinnies. As far as prices.. you can buy a bag of buds / stems in vinnies the size of a football for 20-50 ec depending on who you ask. The further away you get from the school, the cheaper the prices. Nobody will "search the campus" looking for weed. Cops have better things to do then piss off the school.
However.. should you decide to lead this kind of lifestyle, be aware of the risks. Lots of students were pinched at the start of clinicals with surprise piss tests that they obviously failed. If you take drugs with you to the airport, expect to go to jail. If you get into an accident and they find drugs in the car, expect to go to jail (if you survive the grenadian hospital). If the locals know you smoke, they might show up on your doorstep at an inopportune moment with a giant bag of weed to sell you. If your * fellow students find out you smoke (for example just look at this thread) you risk earning a reputation that might follow you into clinicals and beyond.
Despite what most people will tell you, sgu is a hardcore party school. A solid 1/3 of the students i knew were down there for the simple reason that they partied too hard in college. Take those same couple of hundred people and put them on a gorgeous island where booze is cheap and drugs are readily available and you are looking at one hell of a party. The 2 years I spent down there were the best years of my life.. enjoy every second of it because its all downhill once you get back to the land of never ending rectal exams, foleys, psychotic md's.. well you get the point.

ahhh the caring profession.
reminds me of that great line from the great movie "Broadcast News".
And I paraphrase: "Maybe you just don't want to admit that the best part of your life is over". If youre saying that so young, dump it now and take another route before its too late.

I take it a "no" answer is indicative of memory loss and or head injury, a yes would mean he's sufficiently qualified to drive a reggae bus (btw, anyone ever seen a female reggae bus driver)?
I also once offered a local at the aquarium a ciggie (we'll call him Mr. Henderson-Hasselbach to remain anonymous) and he told me that they are unhealthy and that he only smokes weed. Needless to say, anyone who can recite the H-H equation on a friday night is wicked smart. According to NIDA, his philosophy is correct. the number of deaths in a typical year in the US from the toxicity effects of certain drugs is as follows
Tobacco: 400,000
Alcohol: 80,000
Aspirin: 2000
Marijuana: 0
Just to spread some more rumors: I've heard some security guards sell stuff and that some professors have their own herbal garden.
