Does anyone currently doing clinical rotations, residency etc. have an opion on whether a PDA is a valuable toll to have and what good medical software exists? What percentage of the people have them and are you at a great disadvantage without one.

I guess how VITAL it is depends on whether the hospital you are serving at has EMR or not. Either way, I think a PDA is a wonderfully useful tool with Epocrates, Merk Manual, and medical calculators. These are all free software tools downloadable on the internet.
