Already having paperwork and wrong advice given and I haven't even reached the rock yet.
Is this to be expected... for four years?

I had issues with financial aid my first semester. But then they went to filing for 3 semesters at a time and it hasn't been bad. 2 semesters in a row everything has gone smoothly. I'm really starting to worry hehe.
Send EVERYTHING via Certified or Priority mail with return receipt.
Make follow-up phone calls to the person handling your info in the respective departments.
If things are not documented via "receipts" and followed-up they WILL fall through the cracks.
It's YOUR responsibility to do the follow-up.

Johnson,
Please get used to this. Unfortunately, for some of us, this is how it is going to be for the next 4 years. I have just graduated and there are still problems. It's never ending.....
Over time, you will just learn to deal with the frustation by "hand-delivering" your items to Ross so that you know they will get there. Also, you will have to do certain things like filling out applications/forms a month or two ahead of time.....
And btw, i have learned that the BEST way to send anything to Ross is to use FED-EX or another courier service. Don't use USPS, i've had many problems with Ross admitting they did not receive documents even though I had proof that they had received it!

Things I've sent FedEx to Ross also get lost. And they all got signature on delivery. Sometimes I reply that I have proof in my hand that it was delivered over a week ago and they'll go look in the mailroom and finaly find it. Other times they'll look and say no they don't have it even though I have proof they received it. I think someone explained that it gets filed under different spellings of your name. So as many copies of things you sent them, there are that many clones of you in their files. Fortunately I never got more than one bill. No I do not misspell my own name when I FedEx things.
