Hi Skipdoc,
U are verymuch welcome. I will get my books this weekend at majors Scientific bookstore. I want to come with my own book even though it might be costly that way. How do y'all plan to go about your books?
Thanks y'all and I look forward to meeting with all of ya.

Are you talking about the Major's on Fannin in Houston? I can see that store out my window at work.

I bought almost all of my books on Half.com

yes Dr Jeep, I am referring to the store at Fannin. Wooh! Are the books cheaper at half.com? I can't wait to hear from ya. Can u give us the quotation for all the books u bought.
Thanks classmates and I am so proud of y'all. I appreciate the unity.

Almost all of the books on half.com are used...I tried to get books that were in really good shape. I already had a few of the books that a friends gave to me, but here's what I bought on half.com. (add $2.79 on all for shipping)

Essential Clinical Anatomy + CD $39.50
Appleton and Lange $20.04
Basic Histology $34.45
Blueprints Biochemistry, Genetics, and Embryology $19.56
Human Embryology and Developmental Biology $38.75
Medical Terminology With Human Anatomy $44.99
Stedman's Medical Dictionary 29.75

These prices change based on what sellers are asking. But as you can see, you can get books for quite a bit more if you don't mind the cost and risk of shipping. Be careful you get the right editions (if that matters to you). For example there are 3 different editions for Essential Anatomy and only the most recent has a CD.

Happy shopping

Hey doctermob,

IF I do get my books through SMU's bookstore...I'll probably have them shipped just because I have entirely too much other stuff to bring down.

If I would shop elsewhere, I'm not really sure what I'd do. I'll make a decision soon and let you know what's up.

Hope all is well in the Lone Star State.

May 2005 class...LET'S HEAR YA!

I've used a website called Bigwords.com since the beginning of colllege. Its a search engine which allows you to find the books of your choice for the lowest price possible on the web. A little better than half.com, check it out.
