Blevins announced in class today that we got the NY approval and 5 new sites have opened up for AUC in NY. Hurrah!

We have had NY approval. NY reaccredits every 2 years. So it isnt a new thing of getting NY approval.

Yeah, but the opening of 5 new NY sites is huge, especially for my class...maybe I'll have someplace to go stateside for clinicals after all!

That is good news about new NY sites opening. I am a potential student, I have a 3.0 and a looking to make 26/27 on the MCAT, so I am hoping that I have a good shot at AUC. Anyways, are you guys having problems getting set up in the states to do your clinicals or is it a rather smooth and esay going process. Please let me know as much detail, this is the only part that I do not have a firm grasp on. Thanks J.

Will they be offering all cores? That would be huge. I think the school still needs more OB and Peds spots especially. G

If I'm not mistaken...there are 5 new sites. 4 have ALL cores, one is psych.

Mt. Vernon(IM and electives), Jamaica(Full), Brookdale(Full), Lutheran Medical Center(all except psych), Flushing Hospital(Full), St. John's Episcopal Hospital(psych only)

Now lets just pray they will all be up by the time we finish and leave this rock.
