This question may have been addressed in the past but I was unable to find it browsing quickly through a search, so I'll ask.

On the AUC website it says:
Can I live in the dorms for all 5 semesters?
Some students have stayed in the dorms for all 5 semesters, but this is not common. It really depends on several factors including the number of incoming students, as well as, the current demand for dorm space. Basically, incoming students should plan on securing off-campus housing after their first semester. Please refer to the Housing Department for further information.

Should I assume they prefer we don't stay on campus all 5 semesters ? (that was my plan).
At this point, I think I'd prefer to just live right on campus for the duration of my stay, but if they really would prefer we don't stay there more than 1 semester I'd get a nearby apartment.

Does anyone have any experience with this particular policy?

Thank you,
Johnny

yea you cannot depend on staying there all 5 semsters....

some people have managed but it is hard...especially with entering class getting larger every year.....

i decided to live off campus right off the bat to...to avoid having to move later in the year

Thanks skipper,

It's no big deal if I live off campus, I just HATE packing and moving. :x

Maybe I'll skip the whole dorm thing.

Thanks,
Johnny

I'm on my 3rd apartment... and I know of people who have moved more than I have!

So far, got to live right by the beach(back/front yard was literally the beach) and now living right on the lagoon(not as nice as the beach though...)

Why did you leave the beach and how much did it cost?

i've moved 3 times as well, but each one upgrading fom a view of a side of a building, to a nicer apartment with an awesome view, to the penthouse in the same building. I agree with microphage.....blame it on the women

Skipper,
Do you have any pics of your place or the area?
650 sounds pretty good.

Thanks
Johnny

Hi,

I'm looking for a place ans was disappointed when student housing couldn't accomodate me since I not a first semester student.

Do you know anyone who needs a roomate? I am a quiet fifth semester female. Please email me at miznugyen@hotmail.com. Walking distance to school is preffered ot share a car.

Thanks!
