Hi everyone. Someone on here recommended something to me a few weeks ago and I'm trying to find out if I actually CAN do it.
I expect to have about 38k/yr for med school.
I estimate AUC to cost around 46k/yr if you include everything from tuition-to-toothpaste.
I want to know if anyone has gone 2 semesters per year instead of the normal 3. This will extend my time on the island an extra year, but I don't mind. (Once back in the U.S. for clinicals, I'll have sufficient money to go 3 semesters each calendar year because my wife can work)
I've emailed AUC and spoke with Michael Clifford (a recruiter) but he didn't give me an answer, just told me that there are private loans also available...etc etc.....I asked him a second time but he hasn't written back..that was 2 days ago.
I think it's funny how people always tell other people about private loans... Sometimes I just want to say "What? You're joking! Companies and banks actually LOAN out money? And all ya have to do is qualify and pay it back with interest? WOW. Why've I never heard of that...is this a new thing?"
:D
Anyhow...
Does anyone know of anyone who has done this?
Thank you,
Johnny
