new facilities?

This question is for current students. Is Spartan really constructing some new buildings?

Hi,

I am not actually there on the island yet, but I am going for the Sept. 2003 class. I was talking to the Dean and he told me they were building a new lab, new offices for the prof's, and expanding the recreation center. I know that you may not want to take the word of this person, but I was also talking to a current student and he confirmed that indeed new construction had started. Its supposed to be done by Oct. of this year, this it seems is doubtful... but who knows :wink: I encourage any other student there that has additional pics to share them, I would love to see what they currently have completed. There is already an album started on this forum so you could just add them to the Spartan Photo Album. When were you planning on going? If I go before you I can take so pics and post them for you :D

Check out the old post i wrote in April when they began construction called "Spartan Expansion" for what is supposed to be in the new building.

The amount of work they have done so far in this amount of time has been a huge surprise, to me at least. I did not think this much would have been done by now. The foundation and most of the walls are up for the new building and construction workers are there almost everyday.

I don't have any pictures of the building in construction but the exterior basically has the look of the current building :shock: :lol:It looks longer and the two are right next to each other. It looks as if there will most probably be a corridor between the two buildings.
