I was wondering how do you get notified of your test grades and final grades ?
Do they post them some where or email and how long does it take to get them back ?
Also what is passing there 70 and above or something else ?

Grades are posted on atrium of our building on the day after exams at 4:00pm +- 1 hour. Come early otherwise to get a good spot near where they post them otherwise you will have to push through the crowds to see your grades. For finals, they are posted on that thursday, including overall grade. 70 is passing, if you fail, you must retake the course in the next semester.

There are curves on each exam but not on the final grade averages. The school uses the Hoftsee method (don't know if I spelled that right). It is the system most places use where only 15-20% of the class can fail any exam, but the entire class can pass. Most proffs try and keep the class average around 60 or so and then curve up from there. They say it gives the best point distribution and is a more accurate portrayal of peoples knowledge or weakness. I don't know if thats true, but thats the reasoning they give.
