The basic sciences are done in England and clinicals are done in the US. You can do some clinicls in Senegal if you want, but it is not required. We do follow the US system of medical education. We use the same books, learn the same stats (US stats, not UK/Senegal stats), and do things in much the same way as the do at home.

That is kind of hard to say. It all depends on how much you would spend. But, lets say if you spend around 1000 pounds/$1500 a month on living(if you like to have fun and go out) you would spend on the basic sciences:
tuition: $6000 x 5 semesters = $30,000
Living: $1500 x 20 months = $30,000
Books/Equipment: $1500 total
So your basic sciences would cost around $61,500. That is a rough estimate and it all depends on how much you need to live on here. Wheither you like to eat out alot, go out drinking, hang out in london, etc. It is pretty hard to estimate a specific persons total cost like that.
Living here is expensive. Everything costs the same monetary value as in the states, but in pounds... so when you convert it to dollars you are spending 1.5 times the amount you would at home. Everyone pray with me that the UK adopts the Euro!!!
I pay for school using MedAchiever loans. SOme students use the Terry loans and some, the lucky ones, have their parents paying. If you want more info on MedAciever go to:
www.keybank.com/educate/med_ach.html
and for Terri Loans: Call Tel (617) 696-7840 and ask for Mr. Dwight Peterson.

according to a recent Drudgereport headline, the UK Will NOT adopt the Euro as a standard currency. They, like us, value their sovereignty. I do not blame them. Blair has been at odds with the Euro's for quite some time and Parliment voted down the Euro adoption a weel or two ago.
I know...sucks, sicne the Euro is about 1.1:1 right now on the dollar.

Yes they can. It is not usually done, but it can be.
The issue of the Euro is still not dead here in england. There will be may more discussions and even more votes before the issue comes to a close. I hope that in the end they accept it.
