ok so i know this topic has already been discussed but i would like some feedback please! im confused...
i have been accepted to saba for sept 2005 and have already sent in my deposit to secure a seat...i am really excited about going to saba....
the thing is that i have been asked to do an interview for sgu. i have already postponed the interview once and feel like just cancelling it altogether because i dont feel like going there anyways...why?? basically because it seems like it is double the price of saba and i dont think that its worth it...
so, is it a bad move to not do the interview? and does sgu really end up being double the cost of saba?
any saba students out there that now wish they had gone to sgu???
please do advise!

I'm going to Saba in May, and here's my opinion:

If you want to do an uber-competitive residency like Optho, derm, etc., and it's worth it to you, go to SGU.
If not, you're just wasting money. Of course, one guy named Brendan just got Optho from Saba.

If it were me, I'd do the interview with SGU if it was nearby or over the phone, just for the experience. It's always nice to have options!

Yeah, that's what I've heard.

I guess real caribbean schools always do the interviews in person, so they can benefit from my infinite wisdom when they ask me about the health care crisis in America, and pretend they care what I think.

Or maybe they just want to look me in the eyes as I wax eloquent about how much I wanna "help people" and how I'll be a great "addition" to their school. Who knows....I could win the next Stevie award!!

Seriously though, thanks for the info.

my interview is suppose to be this weekend at second cup in montreal (this is where i live)...i have to email dr. garfield to schedule a precise time...i think i will just do it, although i am lacking motivation to do so... but if anyone has any remotely good reasons for me not to do this interview please do share! thanks!
