I just thought I'd say that I feel those who parctipate in writing Ross University's new newletter, the Physical Examiner, are doing a wonderful job. Its great to be able to read about what is happening around campus, professor bios, medical news, and other Ross news. I wish they (or somebody) could post more updated photos of the University online so we could see how the campus is progressing.

The anatomy lab looks amazing! I agree with the faculty member who said its probably one of the most high-tech anatomy facilities in North America.

Mitchdc:

First let me say hello to you. You always bring pertinent info to the valuemd site. I went to the website for the physical examiner through the old Ross beacon site. As a parent who has been in Dominica I like the new newsletter. I still can't find a link on the Ross website. If you can let peole know where the link is it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Singer, I hope you and your son are doing well.

Here is the link to the Physical Examiner website:

http://rusmnews.rossmed.edu.dm/

You can print a pdf document by following the instructions once you access the site.

I suggested a newsletter like this when I was on the island. Its great to see that Ross has staff and students who can really do a great job at this. Some of the topics in this month's issue are:

- New State-of-the-Art Anatomy Lab and a new Anatomy Faculty MD PhD who is helping to revolutionize the department and the experience of students.

- Updates to the on campus campus gym

- Profile of the biochem/genetics chair

Unlike before, it is all in a easy to browse online format or available as a downloadable document.

Again kudos to Mrs. B (spouse of a micro professor) and the student paper staff for a job well done!

As a current anatomy student, I can tell you first-hand that the lab is definitely awesome. Anatomy comes at us like a runaway freight-train (as those who have been through it no doubt agree) so sometimes it is hard to find time to make use of all the IT resources, but it is really impressive and definitely streamlines learning in the lab. The department's plans for the near future are only going to make it better, so future students should have a really good experience awaiting them in anatomy (just be ready to work harder than you thought possible).
