Can we please get a clear answer as to whether or not there will be BMSI next semester. Those students currently in fourth semester need to be advised so that they may plan accordingly. I am familiar with the rumors, however, I would like some insight from a school official. I am a Ross parent and would like the satisfaction of knowing where my daughter ay be next semester??? Thank you.[/b]

I think that would depend more on your daughter, whether she has a high enough gpa to go to miami or less than 2.9, and she stays in Dominica.

The Ross president said the other day that the BMSI semester will be here for the May 05 class.

But if they were going to wipe it out, I highly doubt that they'd announce it in the middle of the semester like this. There would be alot of havoc with all the pissed off current BMSI students raising a fuss about why they have to do it but future students don't.

When the president came he said that BMSI is here to stay. They have no plans to get rid of it at the moment. I would assume since they make approx 7 grand a student that it wouldnt go anywhere.

During registration week, one of the administrators from Miami said they would announce it 6th week. So I suppose we should wait until 6th week and if we hear nothing...BMSI stays.

ROSS123:

i am also a parent. My son is in 5th semester in Miami. If your daughter keeps her average above a 2.9 then she doesn't have to worry about taking the comp exam after 4th semester oir taking BMSI if she doesn't pass the comp exam. If she is borderline tell her to study extra hard this semester.

Good luck to your daughter.
