They are still filling up the May 05 class. They recomend applying 4-5 months before the class fills up. I applied for the may term in october/nov of 04. If you apply for the sept semester soon you should still have plently of time to get in and get everything arranged by then.

I'd still apply to the sept 2005 class because even if it is full by the time they accept you, you'll just get moved to the next semester that is available.

thanks for your reply, but i actually contacted ross myself and from what they said as of 03.3.05 the sept.05 class is only 25% complete. can anyone confirm, because i feel like admission just wants me to apply regardless of seats availible.

I encourage any prospective students to apply for our May semester if they can be prepared to move quickly in their preparations for the move to Dominica. We are one of the few Caribbean schools offering a May semester starting class, and there is adequate time to process your application, schedule the interview, and get a decision from the admissions committee. Obviously, the quicker one does this, the better. For those of you who are able to move the process along quickly, the May class is a distinct advantage. We DO NOT anticipate filling a May class start, so there is no threat of being placed on a wait-list, as will likely be the case with the September class.

Our September class applications, and acceptances are currently SIGNIFICANTLY ahead of last year. I expect a large class, and a wait-list for the September term. If you are definitely interested in the September term, there is still plenty of time to apply, and no immediate threat of being placed on a wait list. As I said, there will eventually be a wait list, and for those accepted but for whom we have no available seating, they will be guaranteed a place in our January 06 class

In anticipation of the question, “is it easier to get accepted in May?” The word easier is difficult to define. We have no specific cut-offs (GPA’s, pre-rec GPA’s, or MCATS) for admission to Ross University. We do our very best to try to evaluate each student on his or her individual merits. Our mission is to give a prospective physician with the requisite abilities, the opportunity to prove himself or herself. Yes, average GPA’s and average MCAT’s for recent classes have been rising, but that is primarily due to increased application flow and interest in Ross University. Obviously, if we have available seats, we would be more likely to give a marginal student the opportunity to prove themselves.

I wish all of you the very best of luck as you move toward your dream of becoming a physician. And, I promise you from the application processing aspect, we will move your May class application quickly through the system.
