I am curious about transfering ...coming from Dominica...which I think is the worst place I have ever been to....people...environment...everything...( and I come from a third world country ) are there any students from Ross there...or can anyone tell me if you can get food there...any fast food...and how far is St. Maarteen from there?...I know the class size is very small...so, does anyone know the number of applicant compared to the accepted students...thanks!!!
ps. I noticed that there are no clinical sites in California...but Saba can still do their residencies there and practice there...right?

Okay, first to tackle the Cali question.... our clinical department doesnt have any affiliations with hospitals in California as of right now, HOWEVER, you can still do clinicals in Cali if you have a contact at one of the hospitals there. Since we got Cali approval last year, you can do clinicals, residency, and get licensure there.
Okay, now the rest of the Qs. I only know of one student who has transferred from AUC. The other transfers are usually from our sister school MUA. As for food, we are dependent on the boat coming over from St. Martin and if the boat doesnt come for a week or two, then the stores do start to run low on food (canned food is always available). If you are looking for walmart, Zellers, McDonalds, Wendys, Jack in the box, Carl Jr., Waffle House, International House of Pancakes, Swiss Chalet, etc. FORGET IT. THIS IS THE WRONG ISLAND. You can buy burgers and fries at most restaurants, but these are locally run establishments. You can also get anything at these restaurants from a sandwich, to Filet Mignon, to an 800 dollar bottle of wine. So there is quite the variety available. St. Martin is located 28 miles north north west of us, and its about an hour by THE EDGE (boat) or 15 minutes by WINAIR (plane). AS for the number of accepted applicants versus applicants, NO ONE KNOWS THIS except for the head office in Gardner, and I doubt that they will disclose this information, although I too would be curious to hear the stats if you end up finding out.
If you have anymore questions feel free to ask
