I am an older student at 27 and I finished all my prerequisites.

I want to know what other courses would be helpful before coming to applying, such as Gross Anatomy, Physio, Microbio, Path, or Pharm.

All of these are offered at my university to undergrads.

And on a side note, why is there so much negativity and an aura of distrust at Ross? I am thinking about applying there but I am now considering other schools.

Please Help!

any of those classes will help. they can't hurt.... unless you bomb them.

3 people does not mean that there is "so much" negativity. It's only 3 people bitching a lot.

and why limit your choices? you should consider other schools anyway.

If you don't apply to Ross, that's fine too, since there's always someone to fill the seats.

I disagree, if you do a check on the history of the forum it is constantly bombarded with negative reviews. Even students who are ok with staying at Ross will admit that things can improve there. For a school that has been operating for 20+ years, probably going on 30, it should have more. They promised much but gave little when it comes to support from administration. I can't believe the problems I had to endure with the FA office, housing, library, etc. The library policy is ridiculous! I expected more stability from Ross, but that is the least that is offered.

Ross is doing somethings right now...Improving the campus, having an official on this forum. I just can't believe the facilities that I saw at SGU (prior to the hurricane) and AUC. Ross is just years behind.

A Gross Anatomy course would really help you I think. I doubt it would be the same type or of the same intensity as medical school anatomy, but familiarity with dissection and important structures and the general "way" to approach studying anatomy would make your comfort level higher when you reach your 2nd semester.
