Can some of you all tell me what made you all give up trying for an american md and made you all go to the carrabiean. My main question is is your mcat score was bad why some of you all did not trying taking it again. I just want to see people thought process in choosing to go to carriabean.
I had a 36MCAT,(after 3 trys) and my GPA at application time was only 3.3(straight As my last year bought that up, but it doesnt show on the apps.) I went through the app process 3 times. got interviews each time, with each time getting more interviews. but in the end, I just got sick of re-applying over and over. i now regret ever applying a second time. statistically, if you dont get in first app cycle, your odds of getting in plummet to ridiculously low percentages. I am now a second year resident, and if I had just applied to Ross the 2nd try, I would be done now. hind sight is always 20-20.

I had a >3.8 GPA but a low verbal score on the MCAT. I was waitlisted at several US schools.
I gave up and decided to come to ROss. I do not regret my decision.

I had to work full time to support my family. Unless some school accepted me then I'd go otherwise I couldn't quit my engineering job to study for MCAT. I took MCAT without reviewing and got a horrible score. Ross was the only school that realized my potential.

I applied to Ross and I got in because many doctors at my work told me that they had the best experience at Ross. They felt like Ross provided them with a very good education and an experience that they will never forget. I feel that too many people on this forum are trash talking Ross and saying how bad it is. They prob didn't pass and maybe even failed out. People have to realize that Dominica is a third-world country and will not be like the USA, but if you give it some time you will be able to appreciate Ross and what a great opportunity they are giving you.
